Swingers Diner has been swing’n since 1993, serving vegan, vegetarian, and carnivorous breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert options--they’ve got something for everyone! We are thrilled Swingers Diner joined us for our newest edition of the VEDGEco Planted Chef Challenge: “veganizing” a delicious dish with our Good Catch® Plant-Based Tuna! Swingers thrives on variety, and as they put it: “our customers love having so many vegan and vegetarian options to choose from.” We have been proud to partner to help the discovery of even more plant-based options!


Stephanie Wilson’s rise to owning and running Swingers Diner is a triumphant one. As was all too common and tragic at the start of the pandemic, Swingers Diner was forced to permanently close. Longtime customers of the then 27-year-old establishment mourned the loss of a great local bite and community staple, all the while Stephanie was hard at work collecting donations from regulars, friends, and family to transfer ownership. Stephanie had been involved with Swingers Diner in some capacity since 2011 and was the General Manager at the time of the announcement of its permanent closure in April 2020. It was Stephanie who stepped up and turned the lights back on. Swingers Diner has now been open and thriving again since November 2020. 


To say it is an honor to partner with Swingers Diner and Stephanie on this Planted Chef Challenge is an absolute understatement.

When asked as a chef, what excites them most about using plant-based products in their dishes? Their answer: “We love offering plant-based versions of comfort food that your mom would have made you.” You can’t go wrong there! As a part of our challenge, Chef Alvaro created this classic comfort dish with a mixed tuna recipe with our Good Catch® Plant-Based Tuna, crunchy lettuce, juicy tomato, and zesty red onion on a vegan bread. Simple and perfect and so very tasty! Swingers Diner will be offering this limited-time offer through the rest of August so hurry on to try it out and tell them what you think!

Swingers Diner has been a staple in the community for 28 years now. We offer top quality comfort food at an affordable price and we are well loved by vegans, vegetarians and carnivores too.
